Trigger Warnings: evil ghosts, cartoon gore of doggos, witchcraft, murder yandere stuff, and lots of death.  This may seem like a cute game but it's not innocent at all and I had some crazy nightmarish dreams after playing this game so beware!  But on the upside there was darn cute corgi in it!

You are the socially awkward but cute school girl Olive whom is a furry living in a world of dogs and cats.  You think you are about to have another normal lonely school day but it turns out this is your lucky day you will now have the chance to meet new friends and perhaps find romance also.  

Unfortunately this same day an evil has taken over your school and killed nearly all your class-mates.

Will you survive this dog darn apocalypse will you beat the evil and make friends along the way or will you eat the forbidden but oh so delicious chocolate?  The choice if yours in this horror visual novel furry game!

Love Company Demo - A Love most Deadly

There is no music in this game, and no narrating just the sound of your very heart beating violently in terror as someone at your office is stalking you and ultimately wants you dead! 

I valiantly tried to get the good ending but every end, ultimately ended me...I felt no love from this game even though the new guy at the office is kind of cute even if he is the one trying to murder me.

The Fall of the House of Misra - Elven Drow Yandere Tragedy

The Fall of the House of Misra has one of the most beautiful pieces of music at the start it's very enchanting.  The story is very interesting and you as the female character is under threat of war, but also of men whom are of the obsessive kind.  

You are also helpless a damsel in distress as you are wounded and your survival depends on the ones whom maybe more dangerous to you than the war.

This is not a happy ending, there is no happy ending in this short game so if you want a happy ending this is not the game for you but if you do play this gem of a game you will be rewarded with a very intriguing and creative story including the art-work is gorgeous with a film noir black and white feel.

This is Neet Girl Date Game a really creative and unique dating visual novel game.  You are a lonely dude whom is into video games and nerdy girls.  

You meet Kara and want to instantly date her.  She is not your typical girl, she doesn't leave her room mostly.  And once you meet her in her bedroom while picking up your Japanese gaming console that she hacked for you, she reveals her true self to you.  

Be afraid be very afraid of what lays ahead.  I played this and got the good ending at least I think it was the good ending but turns out it was the bad one.

Stalker and Yandere - Is she really as innocent as she looks?

Trigger Warning - stalking, mentions of ra*e, murder, kidnapping obsession, drug use. This is an anime style game that is located in Japan and has a really cute and sweet main female character whom seems to have attracted the attention of a stalker. But is our anime girl really as innocent and silly as she seems? This game is reallly disturbing and dark. I got to one ending here but played some of the other endings on my own and the horror of this game is not revealed truly till you play the other endings. If this type of thing freaks you out stay well away from this game. But the story is really good and the twist is incredible so if you like psychological thrillers with horror elements than I recommend playing this game.

Insatiable Creatures - Will I be eaten?

You are reporters for the paranormal activity.  Teenagers went missing in an abandoned building and now you are sent to this building to find out what happened.  There are no choices to be had in this game but it's a very unique and interesting story it's like watching a short tv show.  And the voice acting is really good.

It's a bit weird and bizarre and what happened to the teenagers is a real twist you will never guess until you watch this paranormal visual novel.

A Roaring Affair - Have to save your father and pet Lion

You're the amazing acrobatic Aimee on the flying Trapeze.  Your family are circus performers and you have to solve the mystery of the theft of a very rich ladies necklace and the attack on her person by your pet lion.  If you don't succeed it could mean death for the both of them!  

There are 3 romance paths also but the cutest bacherlor in this game in my opinion is Henri the lion.

Ballads at Midnight - Cute Bard meets sexy Vampire whom may eat her for ...

You have just been arrested your punishment is to be fed to the loner handsome vampire whom is as irritable as they come, will you charm him with your wit and songs or will you be another coffin in his grave?  

The problem is that you have a way of speaking your mind without any caution.  There is blood, gore, sacrifice, murder, occultic habits, and some sexual themes in this vampire game.

Ballads of Midnight has beautiful and haunting music, has some voice overs that are enchanting and not cheesy, well written and the great part is that it is not a demo but the full game!  I highly recommend playing this vampire romance game if you love gothic themes, vampires, and dark stories.

Chook and Sosig A Case of Murder Demo - Cat and Ghost Chicken Detectives

Welcome to Crazy Town where there are ghost chickens, zombie cows whom run bars, Dead dogs, Occultic humor, loads of laughs and bad puns.

If you love Adventure time you will have a good time with Chook and Sosig.  Same kind of cartoon and comic appeal!

Chook and Sosig is a game that I had so much fun playing in that when the demo ended I actually cried and than ate a slice of cheesecake to feel better, it was good cheesecake.

Communist Boyfriend - Who will you date on the battlefield of love?

This is a terrible offensive game with some comedy elements so that's why I had to try it out and boy did I wish I didn't.  😳

Disclaimer: I do not support facism, socialism, communism or dictators of any sort or kind.  But I only played this game to show the sheer craziness of some people to create such a game and that I apologize to anyone that maybe offended by this playthrough also do not watch if this is a trigger for you as there is talk of Communism and Facism and there is Hitler in this game...ugh..

This is just a game where you can date some of the worse dictators of the 20th century.  If there is anything redeeming of this game is that the creator wrote a very well written game, the backgrounds were fun, and the music was great so I would really like to see what the developer creates next just not any dating games. 😆

I suddenly became a Magical Girl to fight Aliens?

The title is actually the name of the game.  Quite a mouthful but our little spunky anime protagonist has a huge heart and just wants to help everyone and her favorite color is pink of course!

She is just an average girl obsessed with anime till she meets a magical cat that transforms her into a Sailor Moon cosplay character.  Aliens have come to destroy the planet and it's up to you to save it.  Along the way you meet another magical girl and this is where I started to get emotional the storyline is so sweet and endearing I couldn't help but almost cry.

Samorost - Pure ASMR -The most relaxing game ever!

Samorost this is the most chilling, wholesome and soothing game I have ever played!  It's better than a cup of chamomile tea before bed-time.  The music is gorgeous and I felt so happy by the end of it.

Mask of the Rose Demo - Is my boss a Vampire?

This is Victorian London but without the industrial smog covering the cities bleak skies.  As there was a terrible earthquake causing the entire city of London to fall underground into some strange cavern inhabited by mutant rats and scary bats.  Including otherworldly creatures that hide themselves behind cloaks with scary glowing eyes.  One of these creatures is your new employer.  

Your new job is to go around and take census of the people of London or what's left of them and as you go further into the dark alleys and shady dwellings, you come across a murder. 

But aside from the murder there is romance to be had either for yourself or your friends.  Seek out and solve mysteries and always beware of the bats!

A Favor - House-sitting with plants but something weird is going on

I am doing a favor for my friend by looking after their home while they are away.  My friend has left me chores to do and each day it changes a bit more till things start to get weird.. I was not ready for this!

This visual story horror game is really well written with a scary twist near the end.  You have 5 days but can you last that long?

You can't stop having the same dream about this ghostly girl.  You're a young boy whom lives in a serene Japanese village with interesting characters and lots of cats and a cute doggy!  You have friends but also fears of the nearby forest that seems to be haunted by spirits, there are many shrines and food shops too.  

A violent typhoon is on the way which causes fear among the townsfolk but what happens if this storm is supernatural?  The darkness coming maybe more terrifying when evil is lurking within.  Will your dream anime girl help you or will she hinder you?  

This game is beautiful the backgrounds and characters are gorgeous and illustrated.  Everything has a story and I can't wait to play the full game.

This Japanese themed game is a visual novel story of beautiful watercolor and drawn illustrations created by students and Atelier Sentô that has Japanese folklore.  The story is short but intriguing and it's like you've stepped into a very good book.

Romancing Flesh - Forbidden Love

Horror "meats" plants among mad scientists during the 1940's.  Forbidden love and passion is found between two scientists creating fake meat in plants.  As grotesque as this game can get I couldn't stop playing till I found out what happened next.  

The creator Vimi designed a visual and narrative masterpiece which they must be knowledgeable in botany and biology.

This game goes beyond anything I have ever played before and as much as I was horrified I was mesmerized by the ideas and the story even feeling an deep sadness for what could have been.

I loved the vintage almost puppetry visual animation and paper doll characters.

iloilo - I am a shark girl that is fishing?

This game was made for the sake of relaxation and serenity as you to learn how to fish for your village and explore the little Island that is your home.  

No instructions argh!!! As simple as I am I finally figured it out and this little shark girl went happily on her way fishing for her village of friends that didn't want to greet her?  That's the thanks I get for helping to feed a village.

In the end I tried to jump into the lake to swim away off into the sunset.  This short little game is really cute and the shark girl or maybe she is a girl with a dolphins head is adorable.  I loved the scenery and only wish there was more to do.

In this online game you're in a small plot of land in Kyiv growing sunflowers in support of Ukraine.  The war is all around you and you're growing one sunflower and watering six more that other players have planted.  The creator has mentioned that this game is based in real time and will show how the war affects the area in Kyiv.

It's a heart-breaking game but there is hope and beauty in the sunflowers and the love that people have for those suffering in Ukraine during this terrible war.

Lovewood - Romancing Atlas

Lovewood is a furry/fairy romance visual novel story that is fantasy and involves very interesting characters that inhabit the world of fairies and humans.  This romance story though is not for kids.  

You come to this village as a healer wanting to settle here along the way you hope to make some friends and perhaps find romance also.

Ahhh a quiet and relaxing day in the park after a long hard day at work.  Until a stranger comes along and has an dark infatuation with you, until death do you part kind and this guy whom claims he is your boyfriend is as crazy and violent as they come so be careful what you say to him.  

The writing is brilliant and really makes you believe that you're really being courted, your boyfriend comes across as a bit pathetic as they come but you just can't help but lure him along but what you think is kind of cute in a sorry kind of way turns into something quite dangerous.

BLACK - Parent to a monster

This game freaked me out.  Be warned If you're afraid of the dark and disturbing imagery.  Black is a bit of a psychological horror where you don't know what is stalking you and what it will do next, every choice you make matters and could end in doom if you don't pick the right one. 

If you ever been in the woods and heard the birds go silent and all noise end while the hairs on the back of your neck stand up as if you're being watched by a predator unseen, this is what this game embraces the fear of the unknown.

This is an very serene and soothing game if you want to relax play Rose in Bloom.  It has an adorable story and cute artwork.  Also there is plenty of plants and a cat named Mr. Lumpy.  I love being introvert in this game and in real life!  There is a chance to find romance also.

Maid of Chapelle Bleue Castle - I broke the heart of the Lord quite lite...

This is a story of medieval times where you are a poor but head-strong maid whom is working in the employment of a mysterious and dashingly handsome Lord Fox whom is hiding a deadly secret!  

I loved this game it was witty and you as Eloise are strong willed and smart.  Romance can happen in this visual novel game but it's your choice how things play out or else it can go quite badly for you.

The music is classical and the setting feels like you've been transported back in time to a gothic castle, it's like Wuthering Heights all over.

Salamander The Lost Kitty -a most adorable cat in a creepy old house

This is about a teen whom meets a child whom has lost her cat in a seemingly haunted and creepy house.  You, as the hero go and try to find her lost kitty.  This is a short but very emotional rollar coaster ride of a game.

This is a dramatic mystery story and has very amazing art-work visual novel that is very short but be warned you may cry and is not a game for those easily affected by extreme sights and description of tragedy.

The Cats of Ulthar -A story of how cats toke over a village

This story is based on HP Lovecraft story, you're just watcher in the village which is very beautiful.  I don't want to share too much but cats are plentiful and cute but the story is dark and disturbing, the music is haunting and can be tragic yet has that theme where those that do evil will often end badly.

Kitty Clinic - I am a terrible cat nurse

Kitty Clinic started off as a most adorable game about cats being doctors and nurses treating other cat patients that have unique and interesting characteristics.  Sadly during the puzzles to diagnose and treat your cat patients the puzzle breaks and you can't move forward or help any sweet cats and their afflictions.  The puzzle froze for me and nothing seemed to work.  

I was so happy to find such a game that focused solely on cats but my heart was shattered at the inability to treat my furbabies.  If you do wish to play this game for the puzzle pieces you might have to hold onto the space key while you move the words around.  I read that may fix this problem.

In Chalk Gardens you're a little child alone on top of roofs in a city with no name and no adults around.  You have created a whimsical and colorful world of chalk mythical creatures, animals and where your stuffed animals live with you and help you find your Dolly's lost leg.  

This game is very cute, relaxing and also a bit of a puzzle as you navigate among the rooftops looking for clues to where Dolly's lost leg is whom is your most fave stuffed toy and companion.

In the Shade of Lilies -How far would you go for your cat?

I am not crying, you're crying..

In the Shade of Lilies really tugged at my heart-strings.  It starts off being poetic, artistic almost like a film noir but as it goes along you get to understand the relationship of this young woman and how much her cat means to her.  

Is it a metaphor for something else?  I am not quite sure but you have to play it to feel the emotions that it causes.

Trigger Warnings there is mention of suicide, loss and death.  

I also must apologize for the loss of music to the game for some strange reason the games music would not respond to my mic but I feel it doesn't take much away from the story or my narration.

Fishy - Lovecraftian Horror?

Part 2 and end of Fishy

Fishy is a tale of a young girl whom has a terrible fear of the sea and it's inhabitants.  She is also lonely and feel rejected by others can she find friendship or will she confront her fears at last?

This story seemed so sweet and innocent and it was but it revealed some hints of horror like Lovecraftian surprises and triggers of fears such as certain phobias.

Yûrei Station - Ghost Station love story with a Yōkai?

This is the story of a young lady whom takes a train not sure where she is going but unable to stop on her trek to finding out whom has been sending her messages on her phone calling to her and coaxing her to come.

This spooky yet charming game with hand-drawn and water-colored painted scenes done by high-school students is set in Japan and is very well written and I really enjoyed playing it and reaching the suspenseful yet horrifying end.

Loretta 1940's Thriller Game

Loretta is about a woman whom was unwillingly taken from her home in NYC to the wheat fields of the countryside in Nebraska to live on a broken down farm by her husband whom was also a broken man in many ways.  This is her story and your choices.  

I really loved the incredible details of Loretta the writing was suberb I actually felt like I was there during the era also watching Loretta's life unravel, like an Alfred Hitchcock novel I couldn't wait to see what happens next.  Nothing was left out even the music was dark noir.  

The atmosphere was gritty yet beautiful and gave me goosebumps like what I did actually made a difference.  This is the demo version of Loretta the full game will be released on steam which the developer is actively working on.  I look forward to finishing the story of Loretta.

The Armoire a Gothic Victorian Mystery

This is the Armoire a short game that is both psychological thriller and gothic mystery.  I loved the Victorian paperdolls and the almost scrapbook graphic appeal.  The mystery was also very intriguing and the writing had an undertone of Edgar Allen Poe.

Drowning, Drowning a short yet adorable game

This is the story of Maia a lonely and troubled young lady whom wants to escape the land above and join the world below the sea.  

This is her story of meeting the underwater characters whom become her best friends and her longings, sorrows and fears.

It's a short game but highly worth the play in that I was left in tears at the end and yet the story didn't truly break my heart.  It was sweet and endearing.

Hermit Home Designer the life of a Hikikomori by Ryan Nein

Yamasen-Chan's Hermit Home Designer is a hikikomori themed visual novel which is a person whom isolates themselves from social interactions and will shut themselves into their homes due to social anxieties and lack of motivation.

I have only showed some of the design elements in the game but there is a lot more to play with such as plants and other decor.  You're designing the homes or places where this young woman Yamasen-Chan whom is an hikikomori lives, it's truly a very sad and tragic way to live but many whom are hikikomori's do not see this as such perhaps and there truly needs to be more support and therapy for those whom suffer this life often alone and isolated.

This is the full game it's short and tries to be light-hearted but there is a dark theme behind it and the author really shows you another side of those whom live these hermit like lives while trying to provide knowledge about hikikomoris.

Andromeda Six Part 1

This is Part 1 Episode 1 of Andromeda Six, a very exciting and well-written fantasy/science fiction visual novel game that has many multiple endings, the ability to choose your character as different genders, aliens or human and has seven romantic paths.  It also has beautiful and well drawn visuals.  

I found the writing to be descriptive and interesting enough to keep me intrigued.  It's a game that takes place in outer space on a starship and reminded me of a very beloved series Firefly.

Currently the game is in development but I highly recommend checking it out and the developers are very active and promise many episodes.

Mr. Bommel's Teacat Factory

Welcome to Mr. Bommel's Teacat Factory! Where we create the world-famous Teacats since 1898. This beautiful painted storybook game is especially delightful for those whom love cats and tea especially. 

It's a short game which I was hoping there was going to be more to it but even in the short time I was dearly enchanted by the lovingly painted scenes and also had a laugh at some of the more comical and just so cute cat pictures of your tea cat. 

Mr. Bommel's Teacat Factory is truly a unique game and has such a serene feel to it that you will want to try the other paths to see what kind of tea cat you can create.

My Sweet Zombie by Tsundere Studio just a short preview.

 

My Sweet Zombie! is about Sam Chen, a barista at a local coffee shop. However, on a late night while closing the cafe, Sam is met face to face with a real life Zombie!
